The kids are probably getting very excited. Parents & adults are probably a little stressed out trying to deliver the perfect Christmas or find the perfect gift. And all the while, a great opportunity gently passes by.

Christmas presents many of us with a rare opportunity in our year when we can pause for a moment and take a look within ourselves. A quiet moment to give ourselves a gift: The gift of time & attention.
When was the last time you had a moment to take the time to think about you and whether or not you are truly healthy & truly happy.
Take some time to think about what’s important to you in life and whether or not those needs are being served.
A great exercise to undertake is called the Wheel of Life. It breaks down various elements of our life and asks us to score each element in terms of how satisfied or happy we are with each of them. Once all the elements have been scored you get an idea of how well your wheel would roll. If your scores are all very low or the wheel looks like it would deliver a bumpy ride then it highlights that there are elements that may need attention.

Once we’ve identified those elements you feel could be better, we can explore each one in more depth. But all this starts with you taking the time to pay a little more attention to yourself, to your experience of life, and consider how content you are in life.
So this week I have a short & sweet message for you:
When all is quiet in the house, And nought is stirring, Not even a mouse, Take the time to look within, And let the self-reflection begin.
Next time I will take the Wheel of Life one step further & look at how we can use our hopes, dreams & ambitions to design a desirable future along with the practical steps we can take to make that happen.
In the meantime, I’ll sign off by wishing each of you the happiest of Christmases.
